Patch ready for IE 7.0 compatibility issues!

Wizard systems are pleased to announce the release of GoldMine 6.70.61214 which offers full support with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 and new localization settings allow users to use GoldMine in double-byte environments, such as Chinese, Korean or Japanese Windows. Please note that if you have GoldMine Corporate Edition version 7 or higher, then you are already compatable with IE 7.

The update can be obtained if you have a valid software support contract with Wizard Systems and currently running any of the GoldMine 6.70 builds.

Customers who are running older versions of the GoldMine software and do not have a support contract with Wizard Systems will need to speak to our sales department. Please contact 01454 316800 or e-mail for further information.

Obtaining the update:

If you have a Support Contract with Wizard Systems please e-mail our support team details of your GoldMine installation. From within GoldMine please Select Help|About. Click on the 'System' button, then the 'Copy All' button. In your e-mail to us, paste in this information (Ctrl-V).

You will then receive instructions on how to download the update as well as instructions for the upgrade itself.

GoldMine Corporate Edition v7.0.4 is now available from Wizard Systems or via NetUpdate in GoldMine. GoldMine Corporate Edition v7.0.4 continues to build upon the Corporate Edition product with updated Palm Synch capabilities, performance enhancements, and improved overall stability.

Internet Explorer 7.0 released on October 19th, 2006 has known incompatibilities with all 6.x and 5.x versions of GoldMine.

GoldMine Corporate Edition 7.0 is not affected.

The most important known issue involves the loss of the HTML toolbar buttons from the e-mail composition window and customers report other various HTML related problems.

FrontRange Solutions plans to release a patch via NetUpdate for GoldMine version 6.7 to address Internet Explorer 7 compatibility and will follow up with an announcement when it is available. Until then we recommend against installing Internet Explorer 7 unless you are using GoldMine Corporate Edition 7.0.

Please be aware that Microsoft will begin downloading Internet Explorer 7 via Windows Automatic Updates starting November 1st, 2006.

FrontRange has a compatibility update available that provides support for Microsoft Windows Update KB920958, re-released on 26 September 2006, which is incompatible with iHEAT and/or iGoldMine for Windows on Windows 2000 SP 4. This incompatibility only affects the iHEAT and/or iGoldMine Server and does not impact the Client machines. Contact Wizard Systems Support dept for this upgrade.
